Our general diagnostic radiology service provides x-ray examinations of the human body with or without contrast materials. Bones, joints, heart size, lungs, free-air, the gas-filled part of the gastrointestinal tract, calcifications, and dense foreign bodies are usually well seen without contrast material. We use contrast material to allow for visualization of the lining and contour of the following systems: gastrointestinal tract (upper and lower GI exams); urinary tract (IVP exams); female genital system (hysterosalpingogram exams); and various skeletal joints (arthrogram exams). Through fluoroscopy (real time x-ray), the function of the gastrointestinal tract, movement of the diaphragm, and alignment of the skeletal system during movement may be assessed. All of our diagnostic radiologists have advanced training in the performance and interpretation of general diagnostic radiologic examinations and know which additional imaging examinations may be helpful when the more simple x-ray tests do not provide a complete answer to the clinical question in the mind of your referring doctor.

Our services include the following:

  • Bone and Joint X-rays
  • Chest X-rays
  • Abdominal X-rays
  • Upper Gastrointestinal X-rays
  • Lower Gastrointestinal X-rays (Barium Enemas)
  • Small Bowel X-rays
  • Urinary Tract X-rays (IVP's)
  • Joint X-rays With Contrast (Arthrograms)
  • Female Genital System X-rays (Hysterosalpingograms)
  • Fluoroscopy
