Salinas Valley Imaging possesses state-of-the-art CT equipment capable of performing all outpatient imaging studies. CT scans of the head are available to evaluate for headaches, strokes, and vascular malformations. CT scans of the chest are available to screen for lung cancer, and to problem solve for findings on routine chest X-rays. CT scans of the abdomen and pelvis are used for evaluation of abdominal pain, and to exclude the possibility of infections and malignancies.

Our scanner provides the capability of 3-D vascular imaging, allowing arteriograms to be performed without the need for invasive catheterization. Coming soon will be the ability to evaluate for silent coronary artery disease.

We have for decades offered quantitative CT of the spine to accurately evaluate for osteoporosis in women, and its response to medical and hormonal treatment.

With four modern ultrasound machines with color doppler and 3-D imaging capability, Salinas Valley Imaging remains at the forefront in ultrasound capabilities. Obstetrical ultrasounds are enhanced by 3-D images of your baby, before birth. Vascular ultrasound with color Doppler interrogation allows early detection of carotid artery disease for the prevention of stroke, and for the evaluation of peripheral vascular disease. Varicose veins can be evaluated for the modern treatments by laser, radiofrequency ablation, and foam sclerotherapy.

Naturally, the more standard abdominal ultrasounds for the evaluation of gallstones and abdominal masses are well within our capabilities.
